Chapter 6 Yuri stared at Mortu, jaw dropped. “How could it be gone!?”
“Our sensors have only detected an explosion. And no ships have left the planet since this morning.”
“Who was the last person to leave?” Gazu questioned.
“You were.” Mortu stated. “But before that was an XXV6 dropship. The owner’s name is Hajin Thanquest.”
“That guy was at our house this morning! I saw him talking with dad!” Yuri burst out.
“He picked up a teleportation device after that,” Gazu said.
Mortu pondered this for a moment. “Hajin may have used the device o sent a bomb within the planet.”
Yuri gasped.
And what happened to all the people there?” Yuri asked “Are they ok?”
“Terminated as well. I am so, very sorry.”
“Dad…” Yuri uttered started to cry.
She noticed Gazu’s eyes start to tear up. He was always the strong one. Caring and compassionate, but always ready to be the strong leader.
“If there’s anything we can do t help,” Mortu started. “We’re always willing to help.”
“Thank you.” Gazu said in a deep voice. He whipped the tears form his eyes. “Is it possible we could stay her for a few days?” He wrapped his arm around Yuri who clung to hi sobbing.
“Of course.” Mortu said. “Stay as long as you need.”
Gazu nodded. “Come on Yuri, let’s go grab our bags.”
She whipped her face. “Ok.” She whispered, fallowing him out the door.
They walked quietly thought the alley towards the ship the ship. She couldn’t believe it. They where the only survivors from Pazzar.
Suddenly a shadowy figure appeared in the distance ahead.
“Who’s there?” Gazu demanded to know.
“Calm down. It’s me, Hajin.” The guy stepped closer, revealing who he was.
“Don’t you DARE come any closer!”
“”Nice to see you too, Yora.”
“Yuri!”
“Right, right. Sorry.”
“How about sorry for destroying everything?!!” Yuri
“Enough Yuri,” Gazu said, then turned to Hajin. “Why are you here?”
“I need your help.”
“Why would we help you after you blew up our planet?!” Yuri demanded.
“Do you have any proof it was me?” Hajin asked.
“The utroms.”
“Yes. Well I doubt they’re right. I had merely left the Pazzar to meet up with you to ask you a very important question. Will you join me?”
“Why? Dare I ask?” Gazu questioned.
“Cause you and I are very much alike.”
“How so?”
“Determined and strong, we could become more powerful than you could ever imagine.”
“No amount of power can change what you did.”
Hajin frowned. “I’m sorry you feel that way.”
“I’m not,” Yuri muttered.
“You know your planet’s destruction could’ve been avoided if you father would have accepted my demands. I’m sure now know the consequences of refusing me. Your fate will be the same as your people!”
“My answer is still no,” Gazu said coldly.
“You will forever regret that decision.” Hajin pull out a small dagger from his cloak and hurled it at Gazu.
Gazu’s eyes widened. He ducked, pushing Yuri out of the way. “Run Yuri!”
“Where?” Yuri asked suddenly freaking out.
“The roof! Get to the roof!”
Yuri quickly scurried up the ladder to her left. Gazu came up behind her, grabbed her hand, and started running.
“Hurry, get back to the ship. I’ll handle things here.” Gazu pushed her forward and turned around, pulling out a sword.
Yuri ran behind a chimney to watch. She wouldn’t leave her brother alone.
Hajin appeared in front of Gazu and kicked him in the stomach.
Gazu tumbled backwards and threw his sword at Hajin.
He ducked the sword and pounced. He held the sword the sword up high about to strike.
“Gazu!!!” Yuri screamed suddenly panicked. She looked around for some kind of weapon. She potted a loose brick in the chimney and flung it at Hajin.
He stumbled backwards as the brick made contact with is forehead.
Gazu looked back at Yuri and stood up. “For once I’m glad you didn’t listen to me.”
“Gazu! Behind you!!” Yuri shrieked.
Hajin attacked before Gazu could turn around.
Gazu froze, eyes wide, and stumbled to the ground.
